1. Informational and record-keeping tool only

CareTab is provided for informational and record-keeping purposes only. It is not legal, tax, accounting, or payroll-processing advice, and using it does not create an advisor, agent, or employer-of-record relationship between you and CareTab.

2. You are the employer and remain solely responsible

You remain the employer of your household employee. You are solely responsible for paying your employee, for calculating, withholding, depositing and filing all federal, state and local taxes and reports, for meeting wage-and-hour and other employment laws, and for verifying every figure CareTab produces before relying on it. CareTab does not move money, file anything, or pay anyone on your behalf.

3. No warranty and no liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CareTab is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, including accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. CareTab and its owners accept no liability for any penalties, interest, underpayments, overpayments, losses or damages arising from use of or reliance on the service, including errors in tax rules or calculations. If liability is imposed by law despite this clause, it is capped at the fees you paid in the twelve months before the claim.

4. Tax rules change

Rates, wage bases, forms and deadlines change. CareTab updates them on a best-effort basis and marks rules that have not yet been verified for the current year. You must confirm current requirements with the relevant agency or a professional.

5. Indemnification, disputes, governing law

You agree to indemnify CareTab against claims arising from your employment relationship with your employee. Disputes are resolved by binding individual arbitration; class actions are waived. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida.

6. Data

CareTab does not collect Social Security numbers, Employer Identification Numbers or bank account details; you keep those with your own records and enter them directly on the forms you file. CareTab stores names, pay and hours records, and the settings you enter.

7. Subscription

CareTab costs $14.99 per month after a 14-day free trial, billed through Stripe. You can cancel at any time from Settings; access continues to the end of the paid period. Your data can be exported at any time and deleted on request.
